Nestled among the gentle, snow-covered alpine slopes of the Laufenberg above the village of Radenthein, this apartment is the perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy a romantic getaway for two.
The Almhaus Strobl was built in 1996 in a secluded location at 1,300 meters above sea level using natural materials such as brick and plenty of wood.
The incredibly cozy 40-square-meter chalet on the first floor of the Almhaus Strobl was renovated and redesigned from 2023 to 2024 with great care, an eye for detail, and a successful blend of rustic coziness and a touch of luxury.
The breathtaking panoramic view is truly unique, stretching from the Gegendtal valley, Lake Brennsee, Radenthein, Feld am See, and all the way to the Karawanken—including views of the Nockalm, the Priedröf, the Kaiserburg, the Tobitscher Nock, and the legendary Mirnock.
The Nockberge Mountains are a true paradise for hiking, biking, skiing, ski touring, and snowshoeing.
You can access the most magnificent trails right from the chalet.
This makes the Chalet Almhaus Strobl the ideal location for an active yet relaxing vacation in the mountains.
Rosennock, Langalmtal, Millstätter Höhe with Granattor, Lammersdorfer Hütte, Alexander Hütte, and Ochsenalm are just a few of the hiking destinations in the immediate vicinity.
It’s 8 km down to Radenthein in the valley. Here you’ll find: supermarkets, a drugstore, a post office (next to Billa), a pharmacy, doctors, a gas station, an outdoor pool, the Gartenrast restaurant, La Strada pizzeria, and the Kaslabm cheese shop with local farm products, as well as the Granatium interactive museum.
It’s 10 km to Feld am See and 15 km to Afritz am See for ice skating, followed by a visit to the Strobl bakery and pastry shop, world-renowned for its farmhouse and whole-grain bread, cakes, cakes, and organic pastries.
16 km to Bad Kleinkirchheim, the World Cup ski resort with two thermal swimming pools—the Römerbad and the Therme St. Kathrein—as well as an attractive cross-country ski trail at the golf course. Here you’ll also find numerous excellent restaurants. Every winter, BKK hosts the mega event “Wenn die Musi spielt.”
A trip to the Millstatt Advent Market at Millstatt Abbey on the lake is well worth it—about 25 km.

Afritz is the hometown of three-time Olympic champion Matthias Mayer.
16 km to Bad Kleinkirchheim, the World Cup ski resort featuring two thermal swimming pools—the Römerbad and the St. Kathrein Thermal Baths—as well as a golf course. You’ll also find numerous excellent restaurants here. Every year, BKK hosts the mega-event “Wenn die Musi spielt.”
It’s 20 km to Döbriach on Lake Millstatt, which features beach areas, various bars, and restaurants.
It’s about 25 km to Millstatt Abbey on the lake. A trip to the Millstätter Kultursommer is well worth it.

Our Chalet Almhaus Strobl is a true oasis of retreat where you can recharge and relax, while you let your gaze wander over the Nockberge Mountains, Lake Brennsee, and the Gegendtal Valley all the way to the magnificent Karawanken Mountains on the horizon.
The spacious bedroom is stylishly and comfortably furnished with two reading sofas, an infinity double bed, and an en suite bathroom.
The cozy living-kitchen, made of reclaimed wood, is fully equipped.
Throughout the entire apartment—in the kitchen, the bathroom, and even in the shower—you’ll enjoy water from our own mountain spring, which meets the highest standards for drinking water quality.
All rooms in the chalet are equipped with underfloor heating.
Bathed in sunshine, the spacious 24-square-meter terrace, with its scent of larch wood, invites you to relax and barbecue. The hand-carved wooden fountain, with first-class drinking water from our own mountain spring, is a true fountain of youth and a refreshing way to cool off on hot summer days.
You’ll be enchanted by the many different moods that nature bestows upon you up here every day. Sometimes a billowing blanket of clouds in the valley. A brilliant blue, cloudless sky stretching to the horizon. A fantastic sunrise over the Nockalm to the east. A breathtakingly beautiful sunset over the Karawanken.
